The Sully Mansion is a Queen Anne Victorian located in the heart of the Garden District. Built in 1890, it’s full of special touches you do not find in an event hall. We can tailor the interior and exterior space to meet your needs and preferred setting, whether formal or casual. With multiple outlets, up-lights and a flexible floor plan, we can accommodate a variety of food stations, band area, a bar and diverse seating plans.
Sully Mansion’s gracious surroundings recall days gone by, the perfect setting for an intimate wedding and ceremony. We can accommodate up to 50 guests for an indoor event and 120 guests for an outdoor wedding. Your ceremony or reception can take place on our large porch or in our romantic tropical courtyard. We are happy to attend to every detail of your special day or work in concert with a wedding planner. Call us and let’s start planning your special day!
The Sully Mansion offers a number of packages for the bride and her wedding party.*
- Romantic photo shoot … The perfect spot for romantic photos of the bride with the backdrop of our two story stained glass windows, dramatic stairway and gracious front porch or before the fountain surrounded by lush foliage. This is provided at $80 an hour (with additional charges for dressing on site).
- Bridesmaid/bridal preparation party … Enjoy each other’s company, sip champagne and enjoy canapés while getting dressed for the wedding. Let us turn the upstairs foyer into your private preparation and indulgence area. Get dressed, apply your make-up, have your hair done and have the photographer meet you to take your photos.* Provided for $150 per hour.
- Bridal party reception … Enjoy a light lunch and bottomless Mimosas in our Dining Room or on the Porch for a party of four … and ask us about including additional guests. Provided for $120 per hour.
*Available only when the Royal, Bourbon and Prytania rooms are reserved for the wedding party.

Celebrate your special occasion in a one of a kind environment. The Sully Mansion is a Queen Anne Victorian home full of the special touches you do not find in an event hall. We can host a variety of different events, from a formal cocktail party to an elegant dinner party to a crawfish boil or birthday celebration. We have in-house catering and are happy to work with outside vendors.
Our interior space can accommodate up to 50 people comfortably, with a two story stained glass windows, fourteen foot ceilings and original Louisiana art adding to the ambiance. The wrap-around porch provides a perfect spot for a bar or musicians and expands the capacity by another 30 people.
Our maximum capacity is 120 guests and for events over for over 50 we require the rental of a tent for the side garden. Give us a call and we will help you plan that special event … at one of the Crescent City’s true Garden District gems.
- The Interior: The Inn typifies the Queen Anne style of the 1890s. It offers 800 square feet of event space, two story stained glass windows, fourteen-foot ceilings , plaster medallions and original Louisiana art mixed with period pieces. Pocket doors close off the professional grade kitchen.
- The Grounds: We offer over 2,200 square feet of tropical courtyard with pavers, a wall fountain, tropical landscaping and up-lighting, plus multiple electrical outlets and access to two powder rooms. A 415 square feet porch is surrounded by lush tropical greenery and a large oak tree, all within view of New Orleans’ famous Garden District.
- The Guest Rooms: There are nine unique luxuriously-furnished guest rooms, each with private baths. Our rooms can house up to 25 guests for your event.
- Professional Grade Kitchen: In-house catering is available and we are happy to work with outside caterers as well.
We have connections! We are fortunate to work with a select group of caterers, bakers and musicians and we can either put you directly in touch with them to clarify your choices or speak on your behalf to make sure that every last detail is exactly what you envision. We are happy to work with event planners and outside vendors as well.
