The Prytania

This well-appointed room is on the second floor on the west side of the mansion overlooking Fourth Street and Lafayette Cemetery of Anne Rice fame. The Prytania strikes the ideal balance between stately and comfortable furnishings. Decorated in browns and greens, with a 4-poster queen rice carved bed and green damask sleeper sofa, the room can accommodate up to four people. The small writing desk creates a stylish workspace. The tiled fireplace and mahogany armoire complete the room’s furnishing. The bathroom is large with cypress paneling and a marble mahogany vanity. The Prytania has beautiful afternoon light creating a wonderful environment in which to refuel after antique browsing on Magazine Street.
